Notice of 30-Day Public Review and Comment Period: LAFCO Project No. 2024-03 Solano County Mosquito Abatement District Municipal Service Review
Solano LAFCO has released the public draft of the Solano County Mosquito Abatement District (SCMAD) Municipal Service Review (MSR) for a 30-day public review and comment period extending from August 13, 2024, to September 12, 2024.
The SCMAD’s sphere of influence (SOI) and service boundary is coterminous with the Solano County boundary. The District is not proposing to amend this boundary. The District is consistent with State law and has adopted policies and practices that ensure it continues to operate efficiently and effectively. Therefore, the draft MSR preliminary findings support and recommend that the SCMAD SOI be reaffirmed.
The Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Act of 2000 (CKH) requires LAFCO to adopt and periodically update the sphere of influence for special districts and municipalities concurrently or subsequently to the preparation of a MSR.
